In Conclusion, the Conservation of Energy is an Artistry of Fiction. It is Not a Concrete Fact!

Concerning the very first posting of this series of six posts, entitled “Free Power; not Free Energy”, I draw the following conclusion from a better understanding of what the SPICE simulator (known as Micro-Cap, v.12) is capable of telling me. Namely, ...

Is the conservation of energy a concrete reality or is it also a fiction not unlike the energy which it supposedly conserves? Because how can a superset of a subset be real if its subset is not real? – “A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.”

Data is real; opinions are not real, but are abstractions derived from the data (which is real).

In other words, the simulator can give me raw data such as power, current, and volts. But it cannot give me a direct measurement of energy without deriving it from power and assume that that derivative accumulates over time. That is a vast assumption and quite different from an honest appraisal of the situation.

To quote Eric further from Energy Defined, …

The product (line, cross, or dot – unrestricted) of the total amount of Dielectricity multiplied by the total amount of Magnetism (when both are in union) gives the total quantity of Electricity. We will call this quantity of Electricity the letter “Q” and name this “The Planck” after Max Planck.

It is that simple. So push the “Erase Button” on your head for two notions: Energy is the product of mass times the velocity of light squared, erased? Next, Electricity is the flow of electrons in wire, erased? Good!

This suggests that there is no such thing as taking a direct measurement of energy. It is not a quantity that exists within our physical world of concrete reality. It is a mathematical abstraction and a fictional appraisal of concrete reality.

And since simple logic dictates that a superset cannot be real if any of its members are not real, then the conservation of energy cannot possibly be a concrete reality. It is merely an abstraction derived from the facts making it an opinion of reality instead of a perception or observation of reality.
